Heilbronner Weindorf

Description

Probably, the best event in Heilbronn is Weindorf.

During almost 10 days the whole city gathers in the city center to basically enjoy the afternoons drinking wine and having good time with friends and family.

The city center of Heilbronn hosts the wine producers of the region where they build up their huts and offer their wide variety of wine.

Similar to the atmosphere of the Weihnachtsmarkt, the Weindorf in Heilbronn is a unique event where it gets complicated to be walking through due to the big large crowd that is drinking wine in the street.

It was a great experience for each year that I had the opportunity to be at the Weindorf. Listening to music each day, having a glass of wine and chatting with friends, or getting to meet new people.

The prices of the wine glasses were different according to the type of wine and producer, so what we did is to get our typical glass of wine to taste and to collect the Heillbronner Weindof glass, and buy some bottles of wine from the Rewe that was on the city center.

For us, as students and many more, of course it turned out to be cheaper to buy outside bottles of wine and have a bit of more wine to drink. But it was incredible as well how the wine shelves at Rewe were also getting empty.

It is barely impossible that if you go to a home of someone who has been living in Heilbronn for a while, that he or she doesn’t have at least one glass of the Heilbronner Weindorf. It is kind of an iconic symbol of the wine drinking culture of the city.

If someone is planning to visit Heilbronn, this could be the best time of the year to actually visit it. Before the cold weather starts around, the nights in Heilbronn during the Weindorf are just perfect to be outside.

And if someone is already living in Heilbronn, is impossible not to notice what is happening around these days.

The Heilbronner Weindorf is one of the must things to do in Heilbronn.
